Payment is made on a half-termly basis, in advance. In line with guidelines for a contract between student/parent and teacher issued by the Incorporated Society of Musicians and by the Musicians' Union, I charge for missed lessons. Where lessons need to be missed due to illness I am happy to try to re-arrange them, although this cannot be guaranteed. Fees are not refundable, and I don't deduct the cost of missed lessons from the bill for the following term.

(If I have to miss a lesson, I find a mutually convenient time to make up the lesson or issue a refund.)

One month's notice, or payment in lieu of one month's notice, is required.

I am happy to support students wanting to do exams that I think are appropriate, useful and timely.

In the case of adults able to come during the mornings, I have some scope for flexibility about frequency of lessons.
